What to Study for SSC CGL 2015

English: For SSC CGL English, you need to learn the Basics, and by Basics we mean, CORE English Grammar. You just can’t memorize English language and go for the exam. There will be plenty good questions from Grammar i.e Sentence Correction, Fill in the Blanks etc. So, make sure your grammar is strong enough to succeed.

On the other hand, a good vocabulary is mandatory as there are plenty of questions on them. Idioms and Phrases, One Word Substitution is also important.

Maths: For Mathematics, Arithmetic is the Most Crucial Subject. From Profit & Loss, Average, Percentage, Boats & Streams, Pipes & Cisterns, Time and Work, Trains and all the other chapters you have. Speed is the key to success, so work on that. Similarly Algebra is also Important(Same as Arithmetic). So, practice Arithmetic and Algebra on a regular basis. Apart from these two, Prepare Geometry from Year Wise Question Papers.

Reasoning: For reasoning, you should study, Seating Arrangements, Alphabet/Number Series, Syllogisms, Direction/Blood Relation Tests, Non-Verbal Problems and Diagram Pattern Problems. Reasoning will test your time management and your ability to solve them logically. So a healthy practice on a regular basis is needed for Reasoning.
