RBI Assistant Selection Process and Exam Pattern
According to the RBI Assistant Notification 2026, the recruitment process includes three stages: Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and the Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
Preliminary Examination:
The prelims exam is qualifying in nature, and the marks obtained are not counted for the final selection. Candidates need to clear the sectional and overall cut-off to qualify for the Mains exam.
Mains Examination:
The marks scored in the Mains exam play a key role in the final merit list. Hence, candidates should focus on achieving high scores rather than just clearing the cut-off.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
Candidates who qualify in the Mains exam must take the LPT in the official/local language of the respective state. Final selection depends on qualifying for the LPT along with performance in the Mains examination.
