(a) 2464 sqcm
(b) 2644 sq cm
(c) 3040 sq cm
(d) Cannot be determined
(e) None of these

10. The largest and the second largest angles of a triangle are in the ratio of 4 : 3. The smallest angle is half the largest angle. What is the difference between the smallest and the largest angles of the triangle?
(a) 30°
(b) 60°
(c) 40°
(d) 20°
(e) None of these

Solutions:

1. First S.P = 46000 x 88/100 = 40480
Second S.P = 40480 x 112/100 = 45337.6
So, Loss = 46000 - 45337.6 = 662.4

2. Third Even Number = 402/6 - 1 = 67 - 1 = 66
Smallest Even Number = 62
Smallest number of set B = 2 x 62 - 15 = 109
Required Sum = 109 + 110 + 111 + 112 = 442

3. Total Amount Spent = (591/3 + 45/60 x 780)paise
= 197 + 585 p.
= 782 = 7.82 Rs.

4. So, total distance = 12 x 30 = 360
Distance of the platform = 360 - 280 = 80
Speed of the man = 80/10 = 8m/s

5. Let the three angles of the quadrilateral be 13xo, 19xo and 5xo respectively.

Now, According to the question, 13x + 9x + 5x = 360 - 36 = 324
So, 27x = 324
x = 324/27 = 12
So, required difference = 13x - 5x = 8x = 8 x 12 = 96o

6. Speed of the car, = distance covered/time taken = 720/9 = 80km/h
Speed of the bus = 3/4 x 80
= 60km/h
Speed of the train = 27/15 x 60
= 108km/h
So, Distance covered by train in 7 hours = 7 x 108 = 756km

7. Let Rohit's present age be, x yrs.
So, His daughter's present age = x/3 yrs.
Now, as per the question,
9x + 3x + 13x/9 = 125
25x = 125 x 9
x = 125 x 9/25 = 45
So, Required difference = 13x/9 - x/3
= 13x - 3x/9 = 10x/9 = 450/9 = 50 years.

8. Required value = (27)2 x 5 x 4/9 x 24/100 = 388.8

9. Circumference of the circle = π x diameter
= 22/7 x 56 = 176cm
So, Perimeter of the square = 272 - 176 = 96cm
So. Side of the square = 96/4 = 24cm
So, Area of the square = 24 x 24 = 576 sqcm
So, Area of the circle = πr2 = 22/7 x 28 x 28 = 2464 sqcm
So, 3040 sqcm

10. Smallest Angel of the triangle is half of the largest angle.
So, Ratio of three Angle = 4 : 3 : 2
So, 4x + 3x + 2x = 180
so, 9x = 180
x = 20
Required difference = 4x - 2x

= 2x = 40
