Solutions:

1. Subtracting 24, 21, 18, 15, 12.

2. Dividing previous number by 4.

3. Go on adding 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, ...

4. The series is: 7 × 1 + 1 = 8

8 × 2 + 2 = 18

18 × 3 + 3= 57

57 × 4 + 4 = 232 not 228

2328 × 5 + 5 = 1165

1165 × 6 + 6 = 6996

So, 228 is wrong.

5. The series is: 1 × 1 = 1

1 × 2 = 2

2 × 3 = 6

6 × 4 = 24

24 × 5 = 120 not 96

120 × 6= 720

So, 96 is wrong.

6. Series is ×1+5, × 2 + 10, ×3 + 15, × 4 + 20

7. Series is 1 + 12 + 13 , 2 + 22 +23 , 3 + 32 + 33

8. Series is × 0.5 + 8, ×1.0 + 12, ×1.5 + 24

9. Series is + 12 + 2, + 22 + 3, + 32 + 4......

10. Series 1 – 4, 4+6 = 10, 10 + 12 = 22, 22 + 24 = 26

Series 2 – 7, 7 + 4 = 11, 11 + 8= 19, 19 + 16 = 35
