Hello and welcome to ExamPundit. Today the RBI Assistant 2014 Interview was held and our very dear group member “BootLeg Boy” shared his interview experience with us.

RBI Assistant Interview 2014 Kolkata branch experience :
Panel comprised of 3 officials. 2 bengali speaking and one from another state. The experience was very pleasant and friendly.
The officials made an effort to make me feel comfortable by asking questions about my native place, about my schooling and graduation. Also I was asked to explain about my medical condition (I am a PWD candidate).
Following questions were asked :
1. Why do you want to work for the RBI?
2. How does the RBI’s policies affect the lives of citizens?
3. Which department of RBI would you like to work for ?
4. What is the monetary policy of RBI and what are the instruments used to control it? Direct and indirect both
5. What is RTGS?
6. DIfference between RTGS and NEFT?
7. Name another field where information technology is used in banks (I spoke about IMPS)
8. Some current affairs questions about Japan’s economics.
9. Payment and Small banks
10. How are Local area banks different from Small banks?
11. Who is the governor of RBI?
12. Name books written by the governor.
13. What kind of books do you like reading?
