Format – IBPS Specialist IT Officer will consist Total 200 Questions which will have 150 questions of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English (50 each).
English will be having 25 marks which means each question will carry a 1/2 or .50 marks. On the other side, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning will be having 1 mark for each questions.
What to study? – You have to remember one thing, due to the presence of Professional Knowledge the general aptitude will not be having a very tough standard questions. However, the questions won’t be too easy also. So basically it will fall around the standard between Bank PO and Insurance AO.
The Quantitative Aptitude is expected to be calculated as per the recent trend analysis. The standard of the questions won’t be very tough. Time-management will be playing a key role as you need to balance both the General Aptitude and Professional Aptitude.
Reasoning possibly be moderate level. No need to go too much in-depth. A lot of people have been giving exams like IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, Associates, Insurance AO, so use your experience.
English is expected to be moderate. Not very easy neither very tough. So just hold a grab in your Basics.
Format – The Professional Knowledge will consist 50 questions of 75 marks. Each will carry a 1.50 marks.
What to study? – IBPS Specialist IT Officer professional knowledge is a bit tricky. Now there are plenty of Online Mock-Test claiming to be the exact standard of IT Officer. However, we checked through the mock-tests and we were disappointed. Not a single mock-test had the exact level of IT Officer. Either the questions are too easy or too hard.
We contacted successful IT Officers from previous years and asked them about the questions. Then our members who have pursued MCA had a word with them.
The conclusion was, you should be studying from your Books. The questions standard will little lesser than GATE. So basically if GATE Standard is 100 then the Standard of IT Officer Professional Knowledge Questions will be 75. So study from the questions you will get from Various Books of your study course.
