ICC Awards of The Decade 2020
Dear Followers, The International Cricket Council has acknowledged the Prestigious ICC Awards of the Decade 2020 on 28th December 2020. The ICC Awards of the Decade 2020 programme aimed at celebrating the Individual Performances and hand over awards to the best performers in various categories across the globe for the past ten years.
Virat Kohli was awarded Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade & ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Decade for the extraordinary performance over the past ten years. All- Rounder Ellyse Perry bagged the Rachael Heyhoe – Flint Award.
MS Dhoni was awarded ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade. According to ICC, this award is given to the most notable for upholding the spirit of game, involving respect for their opponents, their own captain and team, The role of the umpires, the game’s traditional values.

The Nominees for each of the category had been selected by the Awards Nominations Committee according to on field performances and overall achievements at least five years during the period.
The ICC Awards of The Decade that recognize the best players across Cricket over the past 10 years, invited fans to vote for the first time by selecting the winners across categories including the Sir Garfield Sobers and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Awards, which celebrate the best overall player from the men’s and women’s game over the past decade. Fans provided 100% of the vote for the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade, from a list of the past winners since 2011. More than 1.5 million fans from across the globe participated casting 5.3 million votes.
