IB ACIO 2017 – Preparation Tips

The Ministry of Home Affairs has invited applications from candidates across the country for IB Recruitment 2017 for post of Grade II – Assistant Central Intelligence Officer for Intelligence Bureau of India (IB). The number of vacancies are a total number of 1430 vacancies. The IB ACIO application procedure will continue till or closes on 10th September 2017. For all those candidates who wish to work as Officer in the Central Government with the prestigious IB, you need to grab this opportunity at the earliest. The IB ACIO exam is almost approaching as the exam date is in the month of October.  

• This section comprises of 25 questions in total. There will be 1 mark for the correct answer whereas 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect response.
• The difficulty level and pattern of reasoning of IB ACIO is similar to the pattern of SSC CGL Tier 1 exam.
• This section is mark fetching in nature. If you practice well, you can score well in this section.
• If you have already prepared for reasoning section of SSC CGL Tier 1 exam, then you need to revise this section only.
• If not, start preparing as per IB ACIO syllabus for reasoning section.
• You need to focus more on the section of General Mental Ability.

• This section comprises of all total 25 questions and for each incorrect response, 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The pattern of this section is again similar to SSC CGL Tier 1 exam but syllabus is different from SSC CGL tier 1.
• Questions asked from this section are almost of moderate difficulty level every time.
• You are advised to focus more on the Arithmetic Section.
• You can skip the topic of advanced mathematics but you need to cover the topic of mensuration.
• In the topic of Mensuration, you need to focus more on 2D diagrams.
• Also 2-3 questions from Statistics and Probability are asked.

• Approx. 25 questions will be asked from this section. The difficulty level of questions asked are almost similar to that of SSC CGL.
• The number of questions asked is not final yet as the exam pattern has changed lately. But, the number of questions asked are expected to be same as that of SSC CGL.
• Try to cover all topics from the syllabus and make sure you don’t skip any important topic.
