Exam Review – SBI PO Prelims 2015 – 20 June



Hello and welcome to ExamPundit. Here is a combined Exam Review of all the Shifts held today in SBI PO Prelims 2015 on 20 June.

English Language – 30 Marks

The English section, which was a trending subject among all the aspirants over the few weeks was surprisingly Easy to Moderate level. The Comprehension Passages of all shifts were quite lengthy and time taking which in fact killed a lot of time for students who tried. On the other hand, the Synonym and Antonyms of the Passages was Easier than the passage. In that case, many students successfully did them. Cloze Test and Fill in The Blanks was Easy to Moderate and had mixed review. However, many of the candidates complained about the Sentence Rearrangements, as they were moderately tougher than the rest.

Reasoning Ability – 35 Marks
Reasoning was Easy-Moderate-Tough throughout the shifts.
Morning and the Day Shift was Moderate-Tough while the questions were
comparatively easier in the last two shifts. However, THERE WAS NO INPUT/OUTPUT
Problems in ANY SHIFT. There was problems from Blood Relation Test, Inequality,
Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Circular Seating Arrangements, Single Line/Row seating
arrangements, Directions Test, Floor Based Puzzle, Syllogisms. The Puzzles were
lengthy but not very hard. The syllogisms was Easy-to-Moderate for most of the
candidates.
Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude was Moderate to Tough, Mainly because
it was lengthy and time consuming. Time management played a crucial role while
solving the problems.
Simplifications based on Approximate and Exact both.
Quadratic Equations, which were not very tough. There was Data Interpretation
problems, 2 sets in each shifts and they were Easy but Calculative in Nature.
There was, Line Chart, Bar Graph, Table DIs and there was Import/Export, Number
of Students based problems. There was Compound/Simple Interest, Profit and
Loss, Age, Time Distance, partnership and all the other chapter based problems.
The Data Interpretations were Easy to Moderate to Tough(for
many). The common arithmatic questions were Lengthy and Calculative.
There was “NUMBER SERIES” problems too but EASY in
nature.

Final Verdict – Expectations for Tomorrow

It was More or Less based on your Logical Ability, thus there was a huge problem in Time Management. There was Easy Questions prominently present in every shift but many over looked due to time spent on One-two problems excessively.

Time Management and Your Logical Ability will help you to score maximum and secure your dream job. All over it was Moderate in nature, but calculative and lengthy at some point.

The average attempts in all the shifts combined was 55-65 regardless of category or anything.

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
    – Moderate – Calculative
  2. Reasoning
    Moderate – Tough(Less possibility)
  3. English
    Standard – Moderate
