ADB approves Rs 1,650 cr infrastructure projects in Tripura
- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a project worth Rs 1,650 crorein seven of the eight districts headquarter towns in Tripura.
- Out of the total 80 per cent will be grant-in-aid and the state will have to repay 20 per cent loan in due course of time.

Assam Government Launched the Chalo app
- The State Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary launched the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) “Chalo App” for the Guwahatians.
- This particular app will be equipped with a multi-module model journey planner for the commuters.
- The “Chalo App” will allow commuters in Guwahati to know the live arrival time of their bus so they plan their travel accordingly.

Kimberley Process Intersessional Meeting 2019 held in Mumbai
- The Intersessional Meeting of Kimberley Process (KP) will be hosted by India from 17th to 21st June 2019 in Mumbai.
- About 300 delegates from India and other countries will participate in the five-day meeting.
- KP is a global initiative to remove conflict diamonds from the global supply chain.
- Besides meetings of different working groups and committees of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), two special forums regarding Diamond Terminology and Artisanal Mining – Small Steps to Larger Outcomes.
- Kimberly Process members are responsible for stemming 99.8 per cent of the global production of conflict diamonds.
- India is one of the founder members of Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and is the Chair of Kimberley Process for 2019 with the Russian Federation as Vice Chair.

Fifth Meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog Held in New Delhi
- The fifth meeting of the Governing Council of The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi at RashtrapatiBhawan Cultural Centre, New Delhi.
- The guiding principle of Union Government is “SabkaSaath, SabkaVikas and SabkaVishwaas”.
- Focus should be given to fisheries, animal husbandry, horticulture, fruits and vegetables in order to fulfill the commitment to double incomes of farmers by 2022.
- Goal to make India $5 trillion economy by 2024. He urged the states to increase their economy by 2 to 2.5 times, which in turn would increase the common man’s purchasing power.
