Indian Railways Apprentice Recruitment 2021 | Apply for ITI & Non ITI Candidates
Under the Apprentice Act, 1961 (44th Batch ITI and Non ITI ), there is a proposal to make a panel through online process for the 374 seats (300 ITI + 74 Non ITI holders) for candidates training in the following trades in terms of the Railway Board.

Banaras Locomotive Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2021:

Age Limit:
- For Non ITI:
Non ITI Candidates Age Limit should be Minimum 15 years to Maximum 22 years as on the date 15th February 2021.
- For ITI:
ITI Candidates Age Limit should be Minimum 15 years to Maximum 24 years as on the date 15th February 2021.
Age Limit for Welder trade and Carpenter Candidates:15 years to 22 years. Candidates can check the official notification for Age Limit relaxation.
Educational Qualification:
- For Non ITI:
Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks from recognized board or institution.
- For ITI:
Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks from recognized board or institution and also must passed ITI in the relevant trades.
Banaras Locomotive Apprentice Selection Process:
- Candidate selection will be based on merit list , which will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in the Matriculation Examination with 50 % aggregate marks.
- For ITI Candidate selection will based on mark sheet marks only. They will not be given any weightage to their ITI Score.
- Selected candidate will be given Apprentice ship training as per stipulated period of duration stated by National Council of Vocational training / state council of vocation training (NCVT/ SCVT) certificate.
Stipend: Stipend will be as per Railway Board instructions given by time to time.
