So, we will be discussing the 5 Important changes that we saw in LIC AAO 2019 Notification.
Introduction of Prelims & Mains
It was quite due for LIC AAO. Since, last time there was no Prelims and Mains Examination in LIC AAO. So, this is a new addition to the exam. However, the exam pattern is bit different from previous years.
For eg, the Descriptive part in Mains examination is new in LIC AAO 2019.
No English Marks in Prelims
While English has always bothered aspirants in Bank and Insurance exam, many of the aspirants have started to grasp it. However, surprisingly in LIC AAO 2019, the marks of English in LIC AAO Prelims will not be counted. So, basically English will be just qualifying in nature.
What does that mean? It simply means you have to get the minimum qualifying marks in English but your English marks will not be counted for ranking.
Here is what they have mentioned in the notification,
English Language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.
Also, the exam pattern of LIC AAO Prelims do not carry the marks of English in Total Marks.

No English in Mains
Last time in LIC AAO 2016, the English did not carry any ranking marks which happened to Prelims in LIC AAO 2019. Now, one of the most surprising thing about LIC AAO 2019 Mains Exam is that it does not have English Objective Test at all. So, is this a relief? Well, a lot of aspirants have been working hard in English and now this may backfire for some.
However, they have added English Descriptive in LIC AAO 2019 Mains exam. But that too won’t be used for ranking an applicant.

Introduction of Insurance and Financial Market Awareness
Perhaps, this was the most shocking thing in LIC AAO 2019 Notification. The introduction of Insurance and Financial Market Awareness is new to all the aspirants. While we have earlier given Insurance Awareness PDF for other Insurance Exams, this will be bit different.
The financial market awareness is same as Banking and Financial Awareness. But the Insurance part needs to be thoroughly studied for LIC AAO 2019.
Minimum Qualifying Marks in LIC AAO 2019
We all know that there is sectional cut-off in almost every Bank and Insurance exams. But, LIC AAO 2019 has clearly mentioned Minimum Qualifying Marks for both Prelims and Mains. So, forget about the LIC AAO Cut-off Marks and focus on clearing the minimum qualification marks.
