WBSEDCL Office Executive 2015 – Exam Analysis

Hello and welcome to ExamPundit. So today was WBSEDCL Office Executive 2015 written examination. As per the reviews we have received we decided to prepare an exam anatomy or exam analysis of WBSEDCL Office Executive 2015.

Exam Analysis

General Awareness: Although the notification clearly mentioned “General Awareness” which should have consisted Current Events but the actual exam had a lot of questions from Stock GK. Questions mainly consisted of History GK, Indian Constitution which is somewhat unethical for the people who have set the question paper. Current Affairs questions were very few in numbers. The section was unexpected and tougher than expected.

Computer Awareness(MS Office): Again, the Notification clearly said “MS Office” but the question paper consisted a few questions which are not MS Office related. As per the reviews, a few MS Office Questions came from our quiz sets of MS Office. Overall it was not tough but not very easy.

Numerical Ability: Numerical Ability was calculative but not tough. It consisted questions from Pipes and Cisterns, Area calculations and from Probability. The section was moderately tough.

Data Interpretation: DI had Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Line Graph and Table and One textual. DI had mixed response, a majority found it confusing at times. There was NO Data Sufficiency or Data Analysis.

Reasoning: Reasoning had Statement and Conclusions, Statement and Arguments, Circular Seating Arrangements. Reasoning was moderate not very easy not very tough. Majority of the questions were quite easy.

English: English was easier than the other portions. The Comprehension was on Women Education which was very similar to what we provided in Warm Up Match. Questions came from Idioms and Proverbs and Cloze Tests, Grammatical Fill in the Blanks.

Conclusion –

For an examination which is so much popular among the aspirants of West Bengal the question paper was quite different from the notification. The authority must take responsibility to provide the students more accurate information about the examination. They mentioned something and gave something else which is very much misleading. This is unethical and inappreciable.

The examination was bit tougher from last year’s so the cut-off can be LOWER than What we have seen Last Year. If you can score around 75-78 then it might indicate that you are on the safer side.

A request to the authority in charge of the examination: Either GIVE a Detailed Notification containing a Proper Syllabus or start a Helpline for Candidates like IBPS has.
