Puzzle 1:
Four
students Amit, Bhanu, Sachin and Jagan participated in a quiz competition. It
is known that the person who was wearing the black t-shirt won the quiz. All of
them were sitting in a row. All of them wore t-shirts of different colours,
viz. red, black, white and green. There was only one runner-up and he was
sitting beside Jagan. The runner-up was wearing the red t-shirt. Sachin was not
sitting at the ends and was not the runner-up. The winner and the runner-up were
not sitting adjacent to each other. Jagan was wearing white t-shirt. Amit was
not wearing the red t-shirt. Students wearing black t-shirt and white t-shirt
were at the ends.

Red, Green, Blue and YeIlow coloured t-shirts are driving different cars
-Verna, City, SX4, Vento, Optra and Civic not necessarily in that order, these
persons had participated in a car racing competition at the end of which each
of them secured different ranks. It is also known that:
persons Chetan, Gaurav Jatin. Karan, Sahil and Tarun who are wearing Black, White,
Red, Green, Blue and YeIlow coloured t-shirts are driving different cars
-Verna, City, SX4, Vento, Optra and Civic not necessarily in that order, these
persons had participated in a car racing competition at the end of which each
of them secured different ranks. It is also known that:

secured 4th position and was driving City
secured 4th position and was driving City
(ii)
The person wearing blue coloured t-shirt was driving Vento and didn’t secure
2nd position
The person wearing blue coloured t-shirt was driving Vento and didn’t secure
2nd position

Karan wearing white coloured t-shirt was not driving Verna or Optra and he was
not ranked 1st (iv) The person wearing green coloured t-shirt was ranked 6th
and he was driving Optra

Karan wearing white coloured t-shirt was not driving Verna or Optra and he was
not ranked 1st (iv) The person wearing green coloured t-shirt was ranked 6th

Seven
students Rahul, Abhinav, Akash, Arnav, Kartik, Paridhi and Saumya are studying
in seven different schools- BPS, BSNr CMS, RLB, DPS, SDA and LPS. They like
different subjects- Maths, Science, Art, Hindi, English, Moral science and History.
They read in different classes IV, V, VI, VII, VIH, IX and X, but not
necessarily in the same order, Kartik studies in DPS and he is in class VI. Akash’s
favourite subject is English and he studies either in BSN or CMS. One who reads
in CMS is in class V and likes Science. Paridhi does not like either Art or
Moral Science and she is in class X and studies in LPS. One who reads in DPS
likes Art. Arnav does not like Science and he is in class IV. Saumya is in
class VIH and does not study in 3PS.One who studies in SDA, is in class VII. Rahul
is not in class VII. One who is in class IV likes History. Abhinav does not
like Hindi and Moral science.
