Seven Women Achievers Took Over PM’s Twitter Accounts:

We all have been using social media to post selfies, nature-scapes and food. But when Prime Minister Narendra Modi let seven women achievers  from across the country and from different walks of life to take over his social media account and talk about their journey on Women’s Day, it allowed us to meet seven inspirational women who are slowly changing the world!. This will help them ignite motivation in millions of people.

The seven Inspirational women and their profession are

Sneha Mohandoss- Sneha Mohandoss is a Founder of NGO Food Bank India urging people to feed a needy person and contribute to hunger free planet. Through her NGO, under a small team they packed home cooked food in containers and assembled in one place and distribute for the poor in a car or autorickshaw.

Malavika Iyer- Malvika Iyer is a bomb blast survivor, who lost her hands and damaged her legs in the grenade blast in her home in Bikaner in 2002, when she was 13 years old. She is an International motivational speaker and disability rights activist advocating for building an inclusive society.

Arifa Jaan- Arifa Jaan, a Kashmiri activist who is the founder of Numda Handicrafts as she trained too many women to revive the dying art of Numda handicraft.

Kalavati- Kalavati is an activist who campaigns against open defecation is responsible for building more than 4000 toilets in villages in and around Kanpur. She is the winner of Nari Shakti purashkar award. She went door to door to create awareness about the ills of pen defecation.

Kalpana Ramesh- Kalpana Ramesh, a  Hyderabad-based architect doing her bit to secure water conservation for the future of our children. She is known as water warrior.

Vijaya Pawar- Vijaya Pawar from Mumbai showcased the traditional Gormati art and has been making banjara handicrafts for the last two decades.

Veena Devi- Veena Devi, an organic farmer has been growing mushrooms at home for several years now, through some unique farming-at-home techniques. She has also encouraged several other women to do grow mushrooms in a similar manner.

These women achievers have been working for years in various fields but their messages spread far and wide like never before as they got to use Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accounts on social media to share their stories.
