A) 15.
B) 20.
C) 33.
D) 42.
E) NOT

Solutions:
(1) D.

4x = x + (x-20) + (x-40) + (x-60) +(x-80) + (x-100) + (x-120)

4x = 7x- 420
3x = 420
x = 140

(2) D.
Use formula of Amount (P+Ci)
41674.5 = 36000(1+r/400)^3

416745/360000 = (400+r/400)^3

21/20 = (400+r)/400
420-400 = r
R= 20%

(3)D.

Om = 42 days

Jay = 42×100/126 = 100/3

Jagdish = 100/3 × 100/150 = 200/9

Jay + Jagdish

Total unit = 200 ( LCM of Jay and Jagdish)

Unit per day of Jay and Jagdish = 15 (if work is 200 unit)
So, total days = 200/15 = 40/3

(4) B.
Let no of marks in each subject is 100

Ratio of subjects,
Phi : Hin : Eng : Geo = 4x : 2x : 2x : 3x
400×55/100 = 220
So, 11x = 220
X = 20
Philosophy = 80
Hindi = 40
English = 40
Geo = 60

Only two subjects

(5) B.

2×1/4 = 0.5 ltr (solvent)

6×4/10 = 2.4 ltr (solvent)

2.9/100 = 29 %

(6) D.
Possible distribution
1,1,8
1,2,7
1,3,6
2,2,6
2,3,5
2,4,4
3,3,4

4/8 = 1/8

(7)B.
Cp×115/100- 21 = Cp×90/100 × 6/5

CP ×7/100 = 21
 CP = 300
SP= 300×21/20 × 6/5 = 378

(8) E.

The quantity of pulp (the part that has not water)
In 80kg of fresh Grapes
= 80 × 18/100 = 14.4 kg

Dried grapes have 80% pulp
So, Dried grapes ×4/5 = 14.4
Dried grapes = 18 kg

(9)B.

(A+B) : (B+C) = 5:6
(B+C) : (C+A) = 3:4
2A : 2B : 2C = 5:6:8

A+B+C = 19/2 = 9.5
A = 9.5- 6 = 3.5 = 7000

Unit value = 2000
So, B = (5×2000)- 7000 = 3000

(10)C.
(A-4)2 = B+4
 2A -8 = B+4
2A-B = 12.————-(1)

(B-15)10 = (A+15)
10B – A = 165 ———–(2)

After solving equation total number of toffees
= 33
