Q:1- Three-fourth of one-fifth of four-seventh of a number is 20. What is 30% of that number.

Explanation:

Let the number be x.

Then,             3/4 of 1/5 of 4/7 of x = 20

X = (20 × 7 × 5)/3

= 700/3

So 30% of 700/3   = 30*700/100*3

= 70.

Q:2- The sum of two numbers is 3630. If 5.5% of one number is equal to 9.5% of the other,

Then the numbers are:

Explanation:

Let the numbers be x and y.

Then            5.5% of x  =  9.5% of y

11X =19y

Y = 11x/19

Now given,         x+y = 3630

Q:4- Rahul gave 50% of the amount he had to Deepak. Deepak in turn gave one-fifth of what he received from Rahul to Sumit. After paying Rs.400 to the auto driver out of the amount he got from Deepak, Sumit now has Rs.800 left with him. How much amount did Rahul have ?

Explanation:

Let the  amount with Rahul be Rs.x.

Then,  amount received by Sumit = 1/5 of 50% of Rs. X.
