World Workers’ Day:

Maharashtra Day:

  • May 1 is also celebrated as Maharashtra Day from 1960.
  • The state of Maharashtra was formed as a result of Bombay Re-organisation Act, on 25 April 1960.
  • The first celebration was organized on 1 May 1960.
  • It also known as Maharashtra Diwas in Marathi.
