How To Improve Quantitative Aptitude – Raven92

Hello and welcome to exampundit . Here is a simple yet effective Quantitative Aptitude Strategy shared by Raven. Since a lot of people missed it earlier, we are reposting it! And We are thankful to Raven92 🙂

This is Raven92. Just wanted to share how I improved my quant section. Hope this would be useful to others too.

Step 1:
You need a set of  typical quantz questions for bank exams for each topic. If you have book best. If not just google online many questions will be available for different topics.

Step 2:
Solve a set of questions by using the concepts we learnt in  6th to 10th standard.

Step 3:
Now learn shortcuts from books, online or whichever source you have.

Please don’t learn many shortcuts for one type of question itself.

Go through all shortcuts but stick to one which you are comfortable. As much possible BE AWAY FROM FORMULA-SHORTCUTS. It can confuse you during exams.

Step 4:
Solve same set of questions  that you solved with methods you learnt in schools using the shortcuts you know.

Step 5:
Solve same set of questions every alternate WEEK …First day you may take 5-8 minutes to solve the question but with time your speed will increase.
Next time(after a week) you solve same question you may take only 3 minutes.

Step 6:
Once you solve a question within 2-3  minute start keeping timer for 10 questions together and solve a NEW set of questions.

Step 7:
Practice daily ….

I HAVE NEVER MUGGED UP  1-40 TABLES OR SQUARES AND CUBES UPTO 100.

MY FUNDA:
BY-HEART ONLY TABLES OF PRIME NUMBERS BELOW 25.
SQUARES AND CUBES UPTO 25 OR MAXIMUM 30 IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.
