Exam Review – IBPS RRB Officer Scale I – 5th September 2015



Hello and welcome to ExamPunditSo, today was the first day of long awaited IBPS RRB Officer
Scale I 2015. Firstly we would like to wish, all of our teachers, a very very
Happy Teacher’s Day!! Whatever we are doing today, is all because of them!

So, lets get started!!
We received plenty of reviews from Both of the shifts of 5th
September IBPS RRB Officer Scale I. We have combined both the shifts and
putting up one single review.
English/Hindi
Language:
Although we did not have sufficient reviews on Hindi
but still it was reportedly “Moderate” but not Tough. It was mostly
Okayish for the aspirants. On the other hand, English was Moderate and the
standard was slightly above than the recent exams.  The Cloze Test, Fill in the blanks were
“Easy” for a large number of students. Para Jumbles had mixed
response. On the other hand, Reading Comprehension, Grammar was upto the
standard and took some time too.
Reasoning:
Reasoning was reviewed as “Moderate” by mostly everyone. Some of the
Puzzles were difficult and very confusing for lot of students. On the other
side, the Syllogism, Coding-Decoding were mostly moderate but not very tough.
There was puzzles based on Circular Inward and Outward, Linear South and North
and Floor Based Puzzle. The puzzles were a trending topic among all the
aspirants.
There was NO Input Output Questions as reported by
Candidates.
Quantitative
Aptitude:
Quantitative Aptitude was Moderate to tough and as
per a good number of candidate “VERY TOUGH”. There were also few
labels for this test i.e “Confusing”, “Time Taking”,
“Disappointing”. There were questions on Data Interpretation, which
were Tough and Lengthy. There were Number Series, P&L, Percentage questions
which were tough and very calculative. Quadratic Equation had mixed response of
Moderate to Standard Level.
General
Awareness
: The way General Awareness evolving into GK with Current
Affairs, it clearly indicates that the level is increasing. GA was reportedly
“Standard – Moderate”. There was a lot of General Knowledge
Questions, and not so much Difficult Banking Awareness bits. However, there was
Questions from our Expected Questions PDFs.

Computer
Awareness:
This was the only test reviewed as “Easy”. The
questions were basic and easily attemptable.
Overall the exam was Moderate to Tough (Quantitative). The
average attempt regardless of any category, state or shift varied between, 135
– 147.
Tomorrow’s
Tip:
Make sure you are ready with a Time Management Plan of
yours. On the other hand, expected Moderate and Calculative Problems in
Quantitative Aptitude. Expect reasoning to be moderate to standard level.
Expect GA to be same as today’s level and English to be standard to moderate
level. Computer is expected to be Easy to Standard. However, you should not
take anything lightly. So prepare and give your best.
