Exam Review – IBPS Clerk V Prelims – 5 December 2015



Hello and welcome to ExamPundit. So, today was the first day of IBPS Clerk Prelims V. We got sufficient reviews to make a single review of all the four shifts together.




Reasoning: Reasoning was mostly easy to standard. Mostly aspirants were comfortable. There were no Syllogisms which was quite surprising. There were questions from Coding Decoding, Linear Seating Arrangements, Circular Seating Arrangement and Miscellaneous. Overall Reasoning was quite attemptable and aspirants were happy.


The average attempt varied between 28-31.


Quantitative Aptitude: Quantitative Aptitude was moderate to Standard level. There were no questions from Missing DI and Inequality. However, the simplifications and DI was reportedly moderately calculative. The number series were rated as moderate to easy. However, overall the Quantitative Aptitude was not as satisfactory as reasoning. Mostly it was termed as CALCULATIVE.


The average attempt varied between 16-19.






English: English was mostly story based. Thus making it bit easier. The reading comprehension was based on a story and it was attemptable. On the other hand, sentence rearrangements were rated as moderate by some. The cloze test and vocabulary was rated easy. The English test was comparatively easier than the quantitative aptitude.


The average attempt varied between 21-24.




Overall the exam was not very tough an quite attemptable except for a few in quantitative aptitude. Quantitative Aptitude is expected to be calculative and the reasoning standard might increase in the coming shifts. The overall attempt varied between 65-74 regardless of any shift.
