Character Certificate for IBPS PO Interview – Clarification

Hello and welcome to ExamPundit. Firstly, we have received tons of mail regarding IBPS PO Interview Character Certificate.

So today we called up IBPS Authority Several Times to confirm whether the character certificate is necessary or not. They stated – “If the character certificate is not mentioned in the Call Letter or Notification, then you DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE a Character Certificate In the time of Interview. But if it is mentioned then you need to provide 2 Character Certificate from 2 Well Known Person”




Here is the 2012’s Interview Call Letter Clearly Stating the requirement of Character Certificate (See The Highlighted Part)

This PDF states that 2 character certificates needed for IBPS PO 2012. Which indicates that this year also they might need the same. Also in 2012, our Admin Sohom Banerjee had to provide 2 Character Certificate For INTERVIEW.


So there is a Bright Chance of requirement of Character Certificate in Interview.
