Bank PO or Postal Assistant – What to Choose?

So here we are giving out a detailed article on What to choose between Bank PO and Postal Assistant. So if you have cleared in 2014 or want to crack both in 2015 then you MUST read this.


A PO has all the responsibilities of a bank i.e. Cheque verification, NEFT/RTGS verification etc. Also prepare the advance/loan files. DO all the file work for the guarantee bond papers. Plus the posting of a PO can be anywhere in India.

The status of a bank employee has always been higher compared to central Govt.  employees, but in this 21st century we young blood What do we want?? Status or Power??


A postal employee, can only be transferred within the division in which he/she is allotted. Also they can apply for mutual from the 1st day of joining his/her duty. 


Promotion wise after 5 years is eligible for IPO (Inspector of Posts) post, which is a Grade-B non-gazetted post. 3 years hence, he/she will become ASP(Assistant Superintendent of Posts), Which is group-B gazetted post. 3 years hence SP(Superintendent of Posts). 3 years hence SSPO (Senior Superintendent), which is a Class-1 group-A gazetted post. 


So decide for yourself and choose your career properly and take it to the right direction.
