Answers:
1. (3) The sentence should start as, I had been waiting for
you…….’
2. (4) It should be “ and who is …” In the given form, the
subject ‘of is’ is missing.
3. (2) Delete had. In a “No sooner…than…”structure, than
is followed by a subject followed by past simple tense.
4. (1) For a hundred years indicates that the verb should be
in the perfect continuous tense. Hence replace ‘has lived’ by ‘has been
living’.
5. (3) Boys is countable. Hence replace ‘less’ by ‘fewer’.
6. (5)
7. (4) It should be “equipped not only with” instead of “not
only equipped with”.
8. (3) Here, as we are comparing two methods for a single
purpose, the sentence should start as – ‘No other method’.
9. (1) Views should always be followed by ‘on’ instead of
‘for’.
10. (2) Delete ‘I’
11. (1) It should be ‘has been’ instead of ‘have been’.
