How to Crack SBI PO Prelims 2017 in 40 Days

Hello and welcome to exampundit. Today we are finally sharing the most awaited study plan for
SBI PO Prelims 2017. After going through all the poll results we received, all
the queries, we have decided to provide a 40 days study plan to crack SBI PO
Prelims 2017.

Firstly, its SBI PO Prelims, its one of the most difficult
recruitment process. So you have to be very serious. Dedication, discipline
& hard work will always pay off. So be serious and follow the plan
strictly.
Its not easy for everyone to study 4-5 hours on a regular
basis especially when you have other things to do. So, we have decided to allot a total time per 10 days. Which
means, if you study for 3 hours on Day 3,
you can make it up by studying 5 hours on any other day of the slot
.
The regular time needed for SBI PO is 4 hours minimum and
for 10 days we have allotted 50 hours. The day 1 to 10 slot starts from tomorrow.
So, here how it goes
Slot
Time
Day 1 to Day 10
50 hours – 45 hours maximum study / 5 hours stress reliever
Day 11 to Day 20
50 hours – Same as above
Day 21 to Day 30
50 hours – Same as above
Day 31 to Day 40
40 hours – Mocks + Studies – 5 hours stress relief
5 hours per 10 days stress relief is 30 minutes daily for
yourself. This you need to keep yourself calm and stay focused.
Day 1 to
Day 10:
Start off with Reasoning & either Quantitative or
English. If reasoning is your main weapon, then choose English with either
Quantitative or Reasoning.
In the first 10 days, prepare. No matter how confident you
feel, start again. Prepare from the beginning.
Your total time should be distributed in 40:40:20 ratio.
Which means
  • 18 hours for the Hardest Subject as per you.
  • 18 hours for the moderate subject as per you.
  • 9 hours for the strongest subject for you.

Clearing your doubts, making your base stronger is very
important. Go from moderate to hard problems. Don’t start off with hard
problems and panic.
So how will you proceed for the first 10 days?
I. Clearing doubts
II. Keep an error log, to track your problems
III. Practice & learn
IV. Learn from moderate to hard problems. Not the other way.
We will be discussing the important chapters later in this
article.
Day 11 to
Day 20:
Once you have cleared your basics, practiced again. Its time
to gear up. In this period, you must give time for the strongest subject too.
Otherwise, it will be impacted and you will never know.
So, you need to allot your time
  • 17 hours for hardest subject for you
  • 14 hours for strongest subject for you
  • 14 hours for moderate subject for you

Now its time, every 3rd or 5th day you
check how much have you improved from before by simply checking the error log
you prepared.
After 15 days(in total), you should start focussing on time
management. Since you will be allotted 60 minutes for the examination, you must be prepared with a time management
strategy
.
Starting early will give you chance to improve, modify &
implement the strategies.
From this period, you need to start focussing on the
Important Chapters as well. So, here are the most important chapters for the
upcoming SBI PO Prelims 2017
Reasoning:
  1. Puzzles
  2. Seating Arrangements
  3. Direction Tests
  4. Blood Relation Tests
  5. Inequalities

English:
  1. Error Correction
  2. Comprehension
  3. Cloze Test
  4. Sentence Rearrangements

Quantitative
Aptitude:
  1. Data Interpretation
  2. Quadratic Equations
  3. Compound Interest
  4. Time, Work & Wages
  5. Time & Distance
  6. Age Based problems
  7. Number Series
  8. Approximation

List them down, keep a track on which subject is causing
problem or which one is improving faster.
For eg. A) Puzzle – 7 min each, Cloze – 5 min each, B)
Puzzle – 5 min each, Cloze – 5 min each. This way you keep a track of your
performance and be sure about yourself.
Day 21 to 30:
Once you have completed previous 2 phase. Its time you start
mock tests. Its very important to give mock test in order to improve & test
your time management skills.
Every 2nd day, you should give a mock test. So,
in this phase
  • 14 hours for hardest subject for you
  • 13 hours for moderate subject for you
  • 13 hours for strongest subject for you
  • 5 hours mock test – 1 hour / 1 mock

By giving 5 mocks, you will understand almost everything
about your preparation.

Day 31 to 40:

10 Mocks for 10 days and 10 hours for each subject. That’s it.
Rest of the time, analyse & improve. If you feel something is left out, don’t
try to start from beginning as it will create problem overall.
