Exam Review – SBI CLERK MAINS – 25 June, 2016

Hello and welcome to exampundit . So today was the first day of SBI
CLERK MAINS 2016 in the NEW FORMAT. There were many speculations regarding the
format and what kind of questions will come. However, the reviews we received
were quite positive.

Exam Review: The exam was
overall moderate. Questions were not very tough neither they were very easy. In
this new pattern of time, there were aspirants who had problem attempting more.
The reasoning was not difficult but confusing. New type of questions were
introduced in reasoning, which we have already mentioned in the previous post.
On the other hand, there was no Syllogism in SBI CLERK MAINS too. The puzzles
& data sufficiency problems were doable. Quantitative aptitude was
calculative and sometime lengthy. There were geometry questions in Quantitative
Aptitude. There were quadratic equation, Inequality, Number series, Profit
& Loss, Area based problems. All over, quantitative aptitude was tough.
English was comparatively easier than other sections. The Reading
Comprehension, Cloze Test were expected level. There were also questions from
Sentence Correction, Sentence Rearrangements, Filling the blanks.
General Awareness was EASY(in 1st
shift) – Moderate(2nd). Yes, most of the people who actually read
our PDF(s), attempted more than 38 on average. The questions were easy in the
first shift as most of them came from recent current affairs and recently
trended topics. On the other side, the second shift questions were little
tougher than the first. There were plenty of Banking Awareness & STOCK GK
Questions. There were questions from our LIVE Q&A PDFs, which was a huge boost
for the exampundit followers.

#TrendingTopic(s): The most
SHOCKING thing which trended today was “NO COMPUTER QUESTION IN SBI CLERK MAINS
2016”. Earlier SBI mentioned that there will be Reasoning & Computer
questions, but somehow they forgot that. On the other hand, General Awareness
had plenty of Banking Awareness and Stock GK. #NoComputer &

Average Attempts: The average attempts varied
between 130 to 148 regardless of ANY SHIFT, Any Category or Any State. NB:- The
high attempts are included.
Verdict: The questions were doable
if you have done your part. Quantitative Aptitude needs special attention.
General Awareness Questions(>90%) were not from “OLD Current Affairs”,
either the topic trended in recent times or the topic was actually from March –
June. So you actually do not need to study 6-7 months of Current Affairs. India’s
highest, fastest, first things are very important for GK.
